Visual Music Award

Some details on the production process for the animated logo design for the Visual Music Award. The design is completely analogue. Acrylic glass prisms were cut out with a laser cutter and rotated on a turntable. The text was projected through them and thus distorted and mirrored.


Next Tuesday I'm also giving a talk about the design process and my work in general at the Institute for New Media:

Tonight: Stattbad Wedding

I was invited to join the annual exhibiton and party of the HTW Berlin, which will take place at Stattbad Wedding, a former public bath.
Besides from doing a live visual set, I will also show a kymatic light installation in one of the swimming pools. It consists of a water bowl which is vibrated at various sine waves. Kymatic wave patterns are generated and reflected to the hall ceiling, creating the illusion the pool was still filled with water.
